Mark Theissen

Biblical Counselor / Ordained Minister

Mark was born and raised in Rapid City, SD. By the time he was in high school his interests in guitar and song-writing were firmly established. It was during his junior year of high school that he realized church attendance (or any other "religious activity") didn't make him a Christian. Consequently, he made a personal decision to trust Jesus Christ to come into his life. After high school, Mark went to the University of South Dakota.  While at USD, he was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ and served as student mobilization leader from 1978 to 1980. Since then, music and ministry have been important facets of Mark's life. He has led or participated in praise and worship for Campus Crusade for Christ, Scope Ministries, and currently at CLM and First Evangelical Free Church.  His interest in counseling began in 1984 after seeking counseling for his own depression.  After training at SCOPE ministries he joined the staff of Christian Life Ministries where he presently works as counselor and teacher.
